Our Commitment to Accessibility
At Light The Field Athletics, we believe that every child deserves the chance to play, grow, and be mentored in a faith-rooted environment. Our mission is built on removing the financial and logistical barriers that often stand in the way of youth sports programs. We create a Christ-centered space that remains radically welcoming to all families, regardless of background or financial status.
Currently, Light The Field Athletics operates as an LLC. This structure allows us to serve the community today, though we are actively exploring a non-profit arm in the future. Because of our current legal status, gifts or contributions are not tax-deductible. However, every dollar given directly fuels our mission to keep clinics and mentorship accessible to every student-athlete.
Breaking Down Barriers: We prioritize character over the scoreboard. Our programming focuses on integrity, resilience, and spiritual self-worth, ensuring that our youth not only succeed on the field but transition into local leadership with a firm foundation of values and community support.
The Journey of Light The Field
2014: Seeds of Faith
The vision for Light The Field Athletics began when our founder identified a growing divide in youth sports: high costs and a lack of spiritual mentorship. We started with a commitment to share Christ-centered values and remove financial barriers for every family in our community.
Early 2026: Our First Free Open Field Events
We hosted our first set of open field events in Estacada as local community members, partnering with the local youth sports association.
Following this God placed on our hearts this opportunity to reach more youth in the community by starting Light The Field Athletics LLC.
